Continued Care Program
Each and every individual who leaves Wellington Retreat’s treatment programs do so with a plan for continued care. The point of continued care therapy is to help patients successfully transition from a protected treatment environment into a world of responsibilities, opportunities, and freedom. As each person who passes through our treatment programs is treated uniquely based upon their needs, their plans for continued care reflect a continuation of their individuality. Wellington Retreat’s goal is to continue to provide the patient with guidance and to help them focus on their recovery as they are faced with much change, reentering the real world.
Generally, the continued care plan is developed over a period of time, from when the patient enters therapy until they are ready to return home. Wellington Retreat comprehensively prepares the patient for the recommended continued care plan, and if possible, includes the patient’s family and support system to ensure success during this next phase of treatment.
Family and close friends play a particularly important role during this time. They can help motivate the person to continue following their continued care plan, as well as form a strong and loving support system that the individual can count on. Together, as a team, a healthy body and a sound mind can be achieved.
“I can truly say that Wellington Retreat is a state of the art treatment center that has some amazing doctors, that know what they’re talking about and are willing to give anyone first, second, third, and even fourth chances. Today I am clean and truly very happy. Thank you Wellington Retreat for saving my life.”
