Dr. Barbara Ann Wilmes has over 25 years’ experience as an executive healthcare and social services administrator, program developer, educator, researcher, clinician, consultant and holistic practitioner.

She has earned a doctoral degree in Social Welfare, with a focus on healthcare from Adelphi University, a Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education and Research (CPRE Program) from Hofstra University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College (City University of New York).

Dr. Wilmes is a licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW-NY), a licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-NY), a certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC-NY), an Internationally Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CDAC), and a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC-FL). She is also a Diplomat member of The American Psychotherapy Association (DAPA), and an active member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
